Registry is database of all settings and softwares in computer. Everytime you install or modify your software, Windows will automatically update its registry. Consequently, registry will face unmatched association file and could cause an error. That's why you have to clean up your registry through this ways :
- Enter registry editor menu from Start -> Run, then type regedit -> enter
- Search for H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - > SOFTWARE
- In software tab, search for software registry that has been uninstalled
